I need a traditional alaskan soup or stew reciepe (non seafood)? - alaskan seafood
I've got something) more than 8 people (lunch serving my mission was to get soup / appetizer is my home state of Alaska. This is a project for school (not the cooking school), as open as ever you can. Perhaps I have trouble with the moose or caribou, which could provide alternatives to it. Thank you !!!!!!!

Mushroom soup with barley;
In Canto Del Rio, picking mushrooms in the spring. Domestic flights and mushrooms, if you keep long chains of cotton yarn and hang them to dry near the stove. This soup is robust and the earth and bring warmth to the coldest days.
1 / 2 cup dried or fresh mushrooms (morels or oyster mushrooms)
1 cup barley

2 large carrots, peeled and finely chopped

6 cups homemade chicken stock or canned
3 tablespoons lemon juice

If using dried mushrooms, soak in hot water to make a cover for 30 minutes and drain. 4 cups water to boil. Add barley, simmer, cover and leave 25 minutes over medium heat. The theft of barley and set aside.

2 v. soup. Oil
2 lbs. Replace Elk (can w / beef or venison)
2 onions, sliced
2 stalks celery
1 teaspoon of tea. Salt
1 teaspoon of tea. Pepper
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon of tea. Marjoram
1 teaspoon of tea. Garlic powder
1 teaspoon of tea. Basil
2 carrots, sliced
2.16 ounces canned tomatoes
1-10 oz bag of maize
1 until 10 ounces green beans Bags
4 med potatoes
1-10.5 oz beef broth
* 2 cups (red wine can be replaced w / more broth if needed)
Instructions:
Heat the oil, just smoking the meat and brown quickly again, until all cubes are well browned.

Add more wine or broth if needed to keep meat from drying out.
